Therapy, do I really need it?
Life moves fast, and taking care of our mental health is usually the last box on our to-do list. But no matter what age or stage you are in, chances are you’ve felt stuck. Stuck in emotions, stuck in relationships, stuck in habits, whatever it is, it has happened to the best of us. Life has a way of serving us all moments of intensity, of both the good and challenging variety, and often we aren’t prepared and get stuck there. My job is to help you harness your strengths, build upon areas of need and be the guide through the storm. I deeply believe we are all deserving of living fulfilling, meaningful lives, no matter what, and with the right set of tools, the path to that place can become much clearer.
What should i expect?
My main goal is to help you navigate the areas in your life which are causing you anxiety, distress or dread. That being said, therapy can bring things to the surface which are hard, scary and uncomfortable, and together we will learn how to tolerate it and find a pathway through it. Therapy is not linear, it takes time and there is no real rule book on how long you will need it, but if you are dedicated to the process, and willing to show up, you will allow space for a more integrated, balanced YOU.
